Calendula and cornflowers
Jess and Jo popped up to the fields last week to pick the first calendula and cornflowers.
Friday's blog was all about picking and de-petalling. Today you can see the beautiful end product....
The bright orange calendula petals, which we call 'Ginger snap', looks great on its own or in our 'Orange Blossom' recommended delphinium and wildflower mix.
The sunshine yellow calendula petals will be ready to use as 'Honey'b' confetti which we also use in our 'Sunshine Kisses' recommended mix.
These beautiful orange and yellow petals are perfect for a summer wedding!
Our blue cornflower petals, which we call 'Bluebird', are also used in our very popular 'Something Blue' mix. Could this pretty natural petal confetti mix be your something blue?!
The dark purple cornflowers dry almost black and are appropriately named 'Black Tie' which we use in our 'Tuxedo' black and white recommended delphinium and wildflower mix - perfect for a black and white wedding!
From field, to farm, to a handful of confetti - now you know how our wonderful confetti is produced!
We grow, you throw!
Love as always, SP x x
