Can a confetti mix feel cosy and a little bit frosty at the same time?

That's the question behind our October Confetti Mix of the Month. It's a blend of deep berry reds, bold blues, soft blush pinks and pale Duckegg Blue, with all the warmth of autumn and just a hint of winter on its way.

What's in the Mix

October's blend is made up of five of our favourite petals:

  • Candy Floss delphinium petals: soft, blushing pink petals that add a gentle, romantic touch
  • Burgundy Berry cornflowers: deep, rich berry tones for a little autumn drama
  • Blue Bird cornflowers: vivid blue that gives the mix its pop of colour
  • Strawberry Swirl rose petals: creamy petals swirled with raspberry pink for a pretty finish
  • Duckegg Blue hydrangea petals: delicate, pale blue petals that bring in that first hint of winter

Why Burgundy and Blue Work So Well

On paper, red and blue could be a risky pairing. In this mix, it works because of the softer petals in between.

The burgundy cornflowers bring the warmth, and the Blue Bird cornflowers bring the cool. The creamy Strawberry Swirl roses and blush Candy Floss delphiniums sit between the two, softening the contrast so nothing feels too bold or too dark. Then the Duckegg Blue hydrangea petals add a pale, frosty lightness, a bit like the first cold morning of the year.

The result is rich and colourful, but still soft and romantic.

Styling This Mix

This one is a good choice if your day sits somewhere between autumn and winter, or if you'd like a palette with a bit more colour than the usual rusts and oranges.

Here are a few ways we'd style it:

  • Dusky blue or deep wine bridesmaid dresses to echo the cornflowers
  • Dried flowers in muted tones, such as soft pinks, creams and dusty blues
  • Velvet ribbon, candlelight and lots of texture for cosy autumn and winter details
  •  A stone church, country house or barn, where the rich colours stand out against natural backdrops

The mix of smaller petals and larger rose petals also gives plenty of movement when thrown, which is great for confetti photographs.

Good to Know

  • Natural and biodegradable: all our confetti is made from real dried petals, many grown on our family run farm in Shropshire.
  •  How much to order: 1 litre gives around 10–12 handfuls, so 5 litres is plenty for 100 guests if half of them are throwing. Our Confetti Calculator can help you work out the right amount.
  • Display it your way: choose from our display options, including Individual Confetti Sachets, Confetti Baskets for a relaxed self-serve confetti bar, Personalised Cones and Pails. Whatever you choose, it's going to look incredible.
  •  Getting married in 2027? Order now and tell us your wedding date. With free Delayed Delivery, we'll send your confetti out one month before.
  • Love it but missed it? Mix of the Month changes every month, but you can recreate October's blend any time with our Pick & Mix tool. Just choose Candy Floss, Burgundy Berry, Blue Bird, Strawberry Swirl and Duckegg Blue.

Whether you're planning an autumn celebration or a winter wedding, we think this one is a lovely way to bring a little seasonal colour to your confetti moment.
