There’s something rather special about seeing a wedding vision come to life amongst the flowers, and our recent photography workshop in the flower fields was a perfect example.
We welcomed a wonderful group of photographers to Shropshire Petals HQ for a morning workshop hosted by the talented Viola Jay Photography, before heading out into our flower fields for an afternoon of photography, styling and plenty of beautiful wedding inspiration.
With the help of a talented team of local wedding suppliers, three stunning styled areas were created amongst the flowers, each with its own look and feel. From a romantic outdoor ceremony to Mediterranean-inspired tablescape and relaxed boho seating, there was no shortage of beautiful details to capture.

A Romantic Outdoor Ceremony

The beautiful outdoor ceremony scene centred around a spectacular ground floral arch created by Bloomi Flowers.
The two metre installation was made from 10 individual meadow designs, carefully joined together to create one continuous, airy floral arch. Delphiniums and larkspur brought height and movement, while lisianthus, cosmos and ammi added softness.
The palette of blush pinks, soft blues and lilacs, complemented by white blooms and green foliage, worked beautifully against the natural surroundings of the flower field.
It was the perfect setting for capturing those romantic, just-married moments.

A Beautiful Sweetheart Tablescape

Next came a relaxed sweetheart table setting, featuring dried flowers that had been grown and dried right here on our farm.
Bloomi Flowers arranged the flowers in ceramic pin frog and ikebana-style vessels, with individual stems carefully positioned to showcase their natural shapes and textures. Candles were woven throughout the tablescape, adding warmth and atmosphere.
A palette of pretty pinks, soft blues and pops of yellow was softened with whites and natural beige tones, creating a relaxed and effortlessly beautiful look.
We loved seeing our own British grown dried flowers used in such a creative way.
Mediterranean-Inspired Styling

The serpentine tablescape brought a completely different feel to the flower field, with a touch of Mediterranean-inspired styling.
The beautiful table and crockery were supplied by local wedding hire specialists Tipples, while Pheasant Field Flowers created stunning floral arrangements to dress the table and surrounding space.

The arrangements combined fresh and dried flowers, working beautifully alongside the fruit-inspired décor and gorgeous stationery from Thoughtfully Wild Studio.

Set amongst the flowers, the whole scene had us dreaming of long summer wedding lunches in the sunshine.
Relaxed Boho Seating

This area was an intimate, relaxed space with beautiful vintage furniture from Hint of Vintage Hire.
Pheasant Field Flowers dressed the wicker chair with a gorgeous display of fresh flowers, creating a lovely little corner for capturing those quieter wedding-day moments.
It was a reminder that you don't always need a grand installation to create something special. A beautifully styled corner can provide the perfect setting for photographs and give couples somewhere to pause and enjoy the day together.
A Wonderful Team of Local Suppliers
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredibly talented local suppliers who helped bring each vision to life.
Our models, Scarlett, Rosie and Lucy, looked beautiful in gowns from Brides View, a luxury bridal barn based in the heart of the Apley Estate. Their elegant looks helped bring each of the wedding scenes to life and gave our photographers plenty of opportunities to capture those natural, real-moment shots.

Our male model, Juan, wore a suit from Kings Fashion, while hair and make-up were created by Emmie Victoria Hair and Helena Restall Makeup Artist.
A special thank you also goes to Beth at Bootique Weddings & Events, who brought this team to the field, coordinated the styling and made the whole vision come together, and to Viola Jay Photography for sharing her expertise and hosting such an insightful morning workshop.
Lunch Amongst the Flowers
In between all the photography and styling, we took a little time to stop for lunch in the flower fields.
Our delicious lunch was supplied by our local farm shop, Greenfields, giving everyone the chance to sit back, enjoy the surroundings and have a well-earned break.
There really aren't many better places to enjoy lunch than surrounded by flowers!
Celebrating Our Flower Fields
It was so wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves amongst our flowers and to watch our fields become the backdrop for so many beautiful wedding moments.
For us, days like this are about more than simply creating pretty photographs. They give us the opportunity to show people where our flowers are grown and to share a little more about the care, time and love that goes into producing our biodegradable confetti.
Every petal has a story, from growing in our Shropshire fields to being carefully harvested, dried and prepared for weddings across the UK.
And seeing our flowers become part of these beautiful styled scenes was incredibly special.
The Models, the Gowns & the Magic
From flowing bridal gowns and beautiful florals to tablescapes, vintage furniture and, of course, plenty of confetti, the afternoon was filled with inspiration for couples planning their own wedding day.

We loved seeing the photographers get creative with the petals, capturing everything from joyful confetti throws to those beautiful, fleeting moments in between.
