A Day of Petals, Photography, and Pure Magic
When the confetti fields are in full bloom, there’s only one thing to do, invite a group of incredibly talented photographers and let the petals fly! In early July 2025 we hosted our Confetti Field Workshop here at Shropshire Petals, and what a day it was.
From dreamy setups to hands-on tips, and the stunning sight of fields filled with petals, here’s a look back at a workshop full of creativity, collaboration, and of course, confetti!

Setting the Scene: A Blooming Backdrop
With rows of vibrant petals painting the fields in every colour, the scene was set for something truly special. Nature did her bit, and our fields were ready to become the backdrop for a day of styled shoots and learning.

Photography in Full Bloom
Led by the wonderful Lisa Webb Photography`, the day was filled with practical sessions focused on capturing that perfect confetti moment. Lisa shared her expert tips, when to shoot, how to time the throw, and what to avoid when working with confetti at weddings.
For many of the photographers, it was a rare chance to experiment without the pressure of a real wedding day, and they made the most of every moment! From loose petals to handfuls, the photographers got stuck in to creating some epic confetti moments with real petal confetti.

Styled Scenes & Confetti Dreams
We created several beautiful, styled spaces across the flower field, including:
A soft, romantic tablescape styled with dried flower bud vases and a dried flower floor display to frame the setting beautifully.

A dreamy floral arch and petal path, handmade using our own homegrown blooms and real petal confetti.

A confetti bar, showcasing just how versatile real petal confetti can be for wedding décor and guest interaction. Every detail was carefully thought out to give photographers a range of inspiration.

A Peek Behind the Petals
After a scenic lunch in the flower field (locally made sandwiches, quiches ,sausage rolls and yummy cake), we hopped on the tractor and trailer for a behind‑the‑scenes tour of the farm. Sharing how our petals are sown, grown, picked, and prepared for weddings across the UK and beyond.
We believe every petal has a story, and it was wonderful to let people see just how much love and care goes into producing our biodegradable confetti.

The Models, the Gowns, the Magic
Our stunning models Rosie and Wendy brought such elegance and energy to the day. Rosie’s gown, kindly provided by Muse Bridal Shropshire and designed by British designer Fread Bennet, flowed beautifully among the petals.
They helped bring the full wedding look to life, giving everyone those ‘real moment’ shots that confetti was made for.
