We're always on the lookout for ways to have fun, get crafty and share ideas with you all. What better way to stay busy and get crafting than with dried flowers? Not only do dried flowers look beautiful, they are bang on trend and they last for months if not years! This DIY tutorial is super easy to do at home and requires no skill, just a little patience.

You will need

To do this DIY create you own Dried Flower Candle Holder project you will need:

  • Empty bottle (we chose a pretty gin bottle)
  • A handful of dried flowers
  • A pair of scissors
  • A pretty coloured short dinner candle

Step 1

Make sure to clean your bottle removing any labels and sticky residue. Give it a wash and a scrub in the sink then leave it to completely dry. You don't want any moisture in your jar at all.

Step 2

Grab a few stems of dried flowers, make sure to get a mixture of colours and textures. For this DIY tutorial we chose a pretty mix of pinks, purples, yellow and neutral tones, but you can either order a mixture of dried flower bunches or order for one of our Letterbox Bouquets.

You really only need a small amount for this project so you will have plenty left over for your bouquet or other DIY projects you have in mind. Cut your stems down to the size of the bottle.

Step 3

Once you've got a good selection of dried flower stems with various colour and textures, one by one add place them inside your bottle. If you are anything like me, you might want to spend some time getting it perfect by spread out the flowers. You can move the flowers around inside the bottle with something long and thin like a skewer or even a pencil.

Step 4

Once you are happy with the placement of the dried flowers within the bottle, simply choose which colour candle you'd like.

Step 5

Enjoy your brand new bespoke Dried Flower Candle Holder! You can make a few of these for around the house, or as gifts. You can also update them whenever you want to with new dried flowers, add or remove different colours or even pop some some fairy lights inside the bottle around Christmas to give it a little extra special festive touch.
