How we grow confetti
Here at Shropshire Petals we grow lots of different flowers to make natural, biodegradable petal confetti. Most of our confetti is used for weddings, especially throwing over the newly married couple, or even for decorating the wedding table or aisle.
We grow a variety of flowers such as delphiniums, cornflowers and even calendula to name but a few to make sure you have plenty of choice when it comes to your confetti mix.
Our flower fields are not only blooming beautiful, they are also a great haven for wildlife including bees!
Once our flowers are in bloom we carefully hand pick them and dry them to make gorgeous confetti that is then shipped all over the world. Below we have Katie picking our Honey'b petals in the flower field.
Our natural drying process removes moisture from the petals meaning they can be stored for months or even years in some cases. Our smaller petals like delphiniums and wildflowers will keep for well over a year when stored correctly away from heat, moisture and light.
Every one of our orders is made up by hand the old fashioned way, with a measuring jug in our petal shed. You are able to pick and mix your confetti online, we mix all our petals by hand so they are ready to throw when they arrive.
We love to see how our confetti petals are used, either for throwing over the newly married couple, or for decoration. We have a wonderful customer photo gallery all of which are real weddings, make sure to send us your photos too!
