Styled Shoot at Kates Garden – the ultimate minimony!

Shropshire Petals were kindly asked to collaborate on a styled photo shoot to promote an eco-friendly and micro wedding ceremony, that was filled with sustainable wedding inspiration!

Based at Kates Garden, Clee Hills in the beautiful county of Shropshire (yes, this is our home town) the perfect location for the ever so popular Minimony!

Minimonies are becoming an exceedingly popular trend for upcoming weddings, keeping them close and personal. Maintaining intimacy and focussing purely on the element of love and devotion, an important detail sometimes lost in the extravagant weddings that we all know and love.

So, let's get to it!

The concept of this beautiful shoot was to capture a particularly small and sustainable ceremony that doesn't cost the earth. With an ever-growing popularity in wedding suppliers turning eco-friendly, it is more important than ever to ensure that we are embracing all of these elements; especially because this ethos is so close to our heart.

To encourage soon-to-be newlyweds to celebrate their intimate ceremony in style - without worrying about a big and extravagant event the lovely florist Kate, invited the team to host an intimate ceremony in her garden, located in rural Shropshire. Providing a breath-taking ambience in amongst fourteen acres of nature and greenery and surrounded by mother nature's delicate beauty.

The lovely bride wore a gorgeous vintage 1980's Laura Ashley dress; a trend adored by celebrities and royalty, that has become the must have wedding style this year. The lace hem skirt at the bottom of the dress is so intricate and delicate, an absolutely beautiful addition to such a gorgeous gown. To make it even better, this dress has been restored with some vintage fabrics by the lovely Tulle and Blue - perfect for those DIY brides.

The handsome groom wore a white shirt, grey chinos and a lovely pastel pink blazer decorated beautifully with a bright and vibrant buttonhole - the most gorgeous addition.

Using all luxury and local produce the lovely Megan added an elegant dessert table, made up of Belgian chocolate brownies and cupcakes - decorated with home grown edible flowers and an absolutely astounding two tier pastel cake. The table was covered with an array of beautiful flowers from Kates garden! How bright and vibrant are the Calendula?

The beauty of seasonal flowers is that they are so fresh, especially these beauties. Fresh out of the garden! Following our strive for a lower carbon footprint and eco-friendly industry - home grown and handpicked flowers are an absolute must. Plus, don't forget that all important array of foliage to separate your bright and vibrant floral arrangement.

The eco vibe doesn't stop at the dress and the flowers... No, no! The gorgeous table décor and props were created using household items or charity shop bargains! A creative way to DIY your own wedding, and add the personal touch to your décor and displays. The lovely lady Maxine who assisted in the props and signage contributed some stunning additions that are regular hired out for weddings and celebrations.

The table décor resembled an Alice in Wonderland type tea party. A somewhat mystical theme with a unique woodland finish.

To compliment this stunning colour scheme, we provided a range of mixes from Tutti Fruity and Wonderland to Berries and Cherries, in order for the lovely photographer Jo to capture the ultimate confetti moment photo!

Our gorgeous confetti was displayed in petite jars, in amongst the lovely table arrangements. We love the idea of making a cute confetti bar for guests to take a handful of petals from jars.

All of the mixes were also placed in a basket, illuminating the wicker with piercing pinks and captivating orange tones. Complimented by a small selection of garden flowers.

There are so many ways in which you can display your confetti - from flower girl baskets, to confetti cones - or maybe even one of our popular Shropshire Boxes, perfectly presented with 25 cones and a gorgeous ribbon.

Our stunning biodegradable confetti, grown on our Shropshire Farm is blooming beautiful. All of our petals are handpicked and carefully dried, quality assured to make your confetti moment photos effortlessly perfect.

On our site there is a savvy Pick & Mix service, enabling you to choose a mix that is bespoke to you and your big day - adding that extra personal touch.

Choose from a range of gorgeous petal confetti and real rose or hydrangea petals for that ultimate photo opportunity!
