Proud to be British...

Yes I think this pretty well sums up the Country at the moment, the Olympics were amazing and Britain seems to be buzzing, there's a real sense of pride.  The Paralympics is just around the corner so it looks like spirits will be high for quite a while, roll on the GB pride!

Well all of those bouquets you've seen given out to medal winners, yes Jessica Ennis, Mo Farrah, Michael Phelps and even Usain Bolt... well they were all given a little touch of Shropshire.  We supplied the wheat to Jane Packer, designer and creator of all 4,800 bouquets for both the Olympic and Paralympic games.  All of the flowers and herbs in the bouquet are British grown and we were delighted to be selected to supply the wheat to Jane Packer.

The bouquet is sectioned into brightly coloured quadrants to mirror the 2012 logo.  The quadrants are separated by British grown food ingredients; lavender, rosemary, apple mint and of course Shropshire Petals wheat.

It's a real honour for us to be part of something so natural and iconic for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.  As part of the farming community we always recognise the benefits of growing UK grown, environmentally friendly and sustainable products.  It's been so amazing seeing the bouquets being given out and we must thank Jane Packer for letting us be a part of it.

Love as always SP x x
