Meet our Marketing Executive - Emilie
Last time we shared
with you a little insight to the team behind SP, you loved it. So, we thought
we would share a little more about our amazing workforce here on the farm!
Emilie has been
working on the farm for nearly two years now, which seems to have gone in the
blink of an eye. Working as part of our fantastic marketing team, we wanted to
share a little insight to Emilie's day on the farm!
Quick Fire Round:
Tea or Coffee? Coffee
Film or Series? Series! (Love a good
drama)
Spring/Summer or Autumn/Winter? Autumn/Winter
Cats or Dogs? Dogs (You can't not
love them here on the farm!)
Holidays Abroad or the UK? UK Holidays! Unless
we are visiting my dad in Florida
What do you do on a daily basis at Shropshire Petals?
Drink (lots) of coffee!
But, on a serious note, you will find me behind our social media channels,
sharing inspirational idea's creating content and doing lots of fun stuff! When
I am not being a social media geek, I am reaching out to lots of lovely venues,
and magazines and seeking as many opportunities for our amazing brand to be
seen! Additionally, I write blogs, and case studies whilst organising wedding
shows. It's busy, but I love it!
What's your favourite part of the job?
Anything creative, I
simply love getting involved in a new project. Whether that's creating our
latest reel, photographing our new mixes, or working behind the scenes, I love
seeing my ideas come to fruition.
(One of my highlights
this year was welcoming 'Escape to the Country' and 'Garddio A Mwy' to the farm
for some filming!)
What do you love most about working at Shropshire Petals?
It's like one big family.
I had wanted to work for SP for a while before getting my foot in the door. The
reputation the farm has beyond its gates is truly wonderful, and being a small
part of what we do here is amazing. No day is ever the same, from the
rainy winter days to seeing our fields in full bloom in the summer; each and every
one has its own special charm.
If you had to make your own bespoke confetti mix, what would it
be?
This changes weekly, if
I am honest. I love the pinks in Berries and Cherries as it reminds me of my
own wedding. However, I do really love the cheerfulness that comes from Tutti
Fruity! So probably a bit of both, a bespoke pick and mix of Burgundy Berry,
Cherry Blossom, Icing Sugar, Amethyst, and Honey B!
When you're not on the farm, what do you do with your spare
time?
I run my own small
business, The Country Rose. Which I launched in November 2021 from our kitchen.
In a nutshell, I turn watercolour paintings into home textiles. I'm proud of my
British roots, so everything is made in the UK.
When I am not busy with
that, I am usually running around after my toddler and husband who also works
on a farm. Summer evenings are often spent taking dinner out to the combine,
where we all cram ourselves into the cab (the dog included) for a picnic tea
(it has been known on occasion to enjoy a Sunday roast or steak!)
