Why order
Biodegradable Confetti?
Confetti
has been used for generations to celebrate newlyweds getting hitched! These
days most wedding venues only allow biodegradable petal confetti, which means
that no one needs to clean up after you, you will get incredible confetti
photos, it's beautiful, and it's eco-friendly too.
Here at
Shropshire Petals, we grow biodegradable confetti on our family-run flower farm, so you know where
your confetti has come from. We grow a variety of different flowers during the
summer time and once they're fully in bloom, we pick them by hand and dry them
on-site to make gorgeous sustainable petal confetti. Paper confetti requires
heavy processing and trees take years to grow large enough for milling, in
comparison our flower petal confetti requires no way near the same level of
energy, only takes a few months to grow and carries a very low carbon footprint.

Won't my
guests bring confetti?
Back in the
day guests used to bring confetti to throw over the newlyweds, but these days
guests tend to forget. Or worse, they might be horrid metallic confetti that's
not remotely eco-friendly. The best way to make sure you get the ultimate
confetti shot for your wedding day is to provide enough confetti for your
guests to throw. That said, you don't need to provide it for everyone, aiming
for at least half of your guests is the golden rule!
How much
confetti do I need?
We've got a
cracking Confetti Calculator that will work out
exactly how much you need. As a good rule of thumb, 1 litre of confetti is
enough for about 10-12 handfuls, so if you have 100 guests coming to your
wedding, 5 litres will cover 50-60 guests, or 10 litres will cover 100-120
handfuls.
There is no
such thing as too much confetti, the more the merrier! Having extra confetti
gives your wedding photographer plenty of opportunity to get more photos
too!

When to use
wedding confetti
Confetti
doesn't just have to be for throwing either, you can use petals for scattering
down the aisle to create an incredible entrance. Alternatively, decorate your
tables with a sprinkle of confetti, it adds a pop of colour and looks oh-so
pretty.
When to
order my wedding confetti?
As soon as
you know what petals you'd like, you can order. If your wedding is less than 3
months away, we'll just send your order out to you right away, and if your
wedding is over 3 months away you can choose to have your delivery delayed closer to the
time.

What colour
confetti should I pick?
There's no
right or wrong when it comes to confetti colours. Some couples choose to match
their confetti to their wedding colour scheme, alternatively, others choose
something that shows up against their colour scheme. You can order confetti
samples delivered to your door to help you decide. We've got a wonderful
selection of popular confetti mixes to choose from, these have been tried and
tested again and again. If you want to be totally unique, create your own Pick & Mix confetti, we will mix it in the
Petal Shed for you by hand and send it out ready for throwing!
How to
display your wedding confetti
There are
so many incredible display options when it comes to confetti, from baskets,
sachets, cones, cannons, wands and much more. Take a look at our online shop and pick your
favourite.
