A wheat sheaf for a Welsh Wedding...

Dawn has been very busy making wheat sheaves lately, with Autumn and harvest festivals filling the air, along side the beautiful 'country rustic chic' theme everyone's been wanting wheat sheaves.  We love receiving photos and thank you cards, however this was an occasion with a difference where Dawn got the honour of making up the wheat sheaves for a wedding she was actually going to and it was so lovely to see how their florist had customised them with seasonal berries.

Luke___Rhian

The wedding of Luke and Rhian was at Carreg Cennen Castle in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Carmarthenshire, Wales.  Luke and Rhian had asked Dawn to make the wheat sheaves and then passed them on to their florist (Blodau Blodwen Flowers) to add in seasonal berries and red roses.  With the structure of the sheaves already made, adding in the fresh berries and roses was the ideal last minute touch to the dried wheat bouquet- being dried the wheat sheaves could be made well in advance and would keep beautifully until the big day.

Luke and Rhian had large wheat sheaves to decorate the church and the castle, medium sheaves for the tables and then mini me sheaves for the bridesmaids to hold... the perfect posy!

Dawn brought us one of the bouquet's back to SP so we got some photos we just had to show you.  So if you're looking for a completely unique bouquet, just ask your florist to customise one of our wheat sheaves-whether it's seasonal berries, roses, or even one of my personal faves- a touch of gypsophilia, it'll look absolutely stunning.

Love as always SP x x
