A visit from the Queen! Part 2... the Parade!

Three Cheers for the Queen Hip Hip... Hooray, Hip Hip... Hooray, Hip Hip... Hooray!  

Well a visit from the Queen is certainly the occasion to throw confetti, what better way to celebrate than with a huge celebration at RAF Cosford with 35,000 people and 5,000 school children!

What a wonderful shot of Shropshire Petals confetti above, and the Queen arriving below, greeted by thousands of smiles all welcoming her Majesty's arrival.  

The parade started around 2pm, with each section of the pageant depicting the decades of the Queen's reign from the 1950s through to the 21st Century.  With each section of the pageant in a different colour there was a fantastic kaleidoscope of colour! 

There were some amazing costumes and a lot of creativity, the peacock above used to be a shopping trolly, who would have thought it!  

Jim had a great time leading the Chamber of Agriculture through the procession, here at Shropshire Petals we are pleased as punch to have a photo of Jim leading the way right in front of the Queen! 

A Shropshire Showcase... the Diamond Jubilee Pageant certainly showed the Queen what Shropshire has to offer! 

And the time came for the confetti to be thrown, we had given out confetti to 120 children to throw and my oh my did it have an impact!  

The British Flags were out and there were three cheers for the Queen!

I love the fact that even as the Queen makes her departure back to the Palace she slowly walks passed the crowds over a light scattering of petals that have just gently floated to the ground after the big confetti cheer! 

Certainly one of the biggest highlights of our time here at Shropshire Petals, a confetti shot made for Royalty!
