Vintage Pastel Confetti Mix of the Month

Pastels have been on trend this summer, so when we were thinking up a wonderful new combination of petals especially for August's Confetti Mix of the Month, we knew we needed a little rustic inspiration.

Introducing our August Confetti Mix of the Month, a charming pastel pink, vintage grey, creamy lilac and iconic ivory mix of real flower petals. This mix contains our Candy Floss and Lady Grey delphinium petals, Promise rose petals and our brand new Lilac Haze hydrangeas too. Mixed together by hand, this delightful petal combination is perfect for a rustic or vintage style wedding or event.

Why use Petal Confetti

Petal Confetti is made from real flower petals, they're completely biodegradable, eco-friendly and sustainable. Venues and wedding suppliers across the world recommended our petal confetti, as it's non-harmful to the environment or wildlife, and it naturally biodegrades leaving no negative effect on the surroundings, so no one needs to clean up after your celebration. 

We grow petal confetti on our Shropshire based family farm, we've been grown flowers for over 30 years! Over the years we've experimented, trialed and tested all our petals to bring you only the best nature has to offer, so you can celebrate your big day in style. How we grow Petal Confetti

During the summer months we grow a variety of different flowers on our farm and when they are looking their absolute best, we pick them by hand, dry them and remove the petals for gorgeous confetti. As all our petals are dried, some can last years! Not only does our flower field look beautiful in the summer time, but it also creates a wonderful wildlife haven for bees, insects, birds, hares and even deer.

Rustic Wedding

This charming mix works well with a range of different wedding locations and styles, from country barn to chic manor house, or DIY wedding to a home garden party wedding. We love the idea of pairing this confetti mix with a dried flower bouquet, or more traditional fresh dusky pink roses and maybe even some dainty hydrangeas.

To add these rustic colours to your wedding day decor, grab a load of old bottles and fill them with a few sprigs of our Candy Floss dried flower bunch, Lady Grey bunch and lagurus, and maybe even a bunch of wheat too. Now place your bottles around the venue to complete the look.  

How to showcase your confetti

There are so many different ways to share your chosen confetti with your wedding guests. You could start early and send your wedding guests a little sachet with their wedding invite, get the party started early! Or on the day place individual sachets on guest chairs ready for the throw. Alternatively if you've got a lot of guests our silver pail, or confetti basket are perfect for guests to take a handful. 

Alternatively confetti cones are also a beautiful and practical way to display your wedding confetti too. Not only do cones allow you to add an extra touch of colour, or even personalisation, but each guest gets the same amount of confetti, plus if they're waiting a little while for the big confetti throw, the petals inside aren't getting crushed inside the palm of their hand. The hardest part if picking a cone colour, or deciding what design to have personalised.  

How much confetti do you need?  

We've got a fantastic confetti calculator that will work out how much petal confetti you need for your wedding day. Simply enter in how many guests you're planning to have, and it let you know how many litres of petals to order.

We recommend 1 litre of petal confetti is enough for about 10-12 handfuls.

So if you've got 100 guests, 10 litres of petals will be enough for them all to throw. You know your guests more than anyone else, if you think there might be guests that won't throw, you can always order a little less, but just make sure you've got enough for at least half your guests. And remember, the more confetti you have, the more opportunity to get those incredible confetti photos!

When to order my wedding confetti?

All our petals are dried so they last much longer than fresh petals. In fact our delphiniums can last for years! That said, when it comes to ordering your wedding confetti, we have an easy rule to follow:

• If your wedding is less than 3 months away, you can order now for immediate delivery and when your petals arrive just keep them stored away from heat, moisture and direct light. 
• If your wedding is over 3 months away, order as early as you like with our free Delayed Delivery service. You add everything to your basket as normal, we ask you your wedding date and dispatch everything closer to your wedding day. Super simples! Plus if plans change, you can always change your dispatch date too.
