Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Wedding Updates

With just under a month to go the countdown for the royal wedding and the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is officially underway and we just can't contain our excitement! Here's what we know about the couple's big day so far:

The Engagement Ring

Harry designed the ring himself using one diamond sourced from Botswana and two smaller stones from Princess Diana's collection. It's a beautiful engagement ring, with a personal touch!

Date & Venue

The ceremony will take place at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle at 12 noon on the 19th May 2018. We're sure it will be a very grand affair, as St George's Chapel is a British must see with beautiful architecture and interesting history.

Invitations

The invitations are very traditional and feature the three-feathered badge of the Prince of Wales in gold. They have been produced by Barnard & Westwood, who have been in charge of printing & bookbinding for Her Majesty The Queen since 1985.

Bouquet

Something we do know is that bride's bouquet will include flower Myrtle, as it's a tradition and has been included in every Royal wedding bouquet to date.

Myrtle is a symbol of good luck in love in Marriage and comes in a variation of colours such as white, pink, red and deep mauve. Our natural petal confetti mixes Icing Sugar, Blush and Highland Fling match these colours perfectly!

The Cake

The overall colour scheme/ theme of the wedding has been kept very quiet, but the reported lemon and elderflower cake which will be made by pastry chef Claire Ptak may give us some clues.

" It will incorporate the bright flowers of spring. It will be cover with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers."

Confetti

As confetti is our favourite part of a wedding we have put together some mixes inspired by the choices Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's have made so far.

Our first mix is a combination of Icing Sugar, Buttermilk and Daisy Daisy, it's clear and white just like tMeghan's engagement ring. You can create this mix using our Pick n Mix Tool, simply pick the petals and choose your packaging. We have even paired it with our embossed metallic cones to add a little sparkle!

We took their Buttercream covered Lemon & Elderflower cake as inspiration and created this mix, which includes Icing Sugar, Envy and Golden Slumber. We paired this mix with our Yellow, White and Green embossed cones which incorporates the bright colours of Spring!
