My wedding has been postponed, what do I do?
Here in the Shropshire Petals shed, we truly sympathise with couples that are having to postpone their weddings in the coming weeks due to Covid-19. As if wedding planning isn't stressful enough! We want to make sure this difficult time is as easy as possible for you when it comes to your wedding confetti.
We care deeply for the welfare of our team and general community. We're following the up to date UK government guidelines and so the SP team are working from home and one member of the team is stationed on the farm, meaning we're able to safely answer your calls and reply to your emails.
What to do if you've ordered with Delayed Delivery
If you've ordered your confetti with us using our free Delayed Delivery service you can log into your account and update your order information with your new wedding date and a new dispatch date (we usually dispatch Delayed Delivery orders 3-6 weeks before the big day). If you don't know your date yet, you can simply put your order on hold, and update us when you do know. Alternatively if you're struggling to log into your account, you can also contact us via email at enquiries@shropshirepetals.co.uk with your order number and new wedding date.
What to do if your wedding confetti has already arrived
All our smaller petals like delphiniums and cornflowers will actually last for up to 18 months when stored away from heat, moisture and light. So if you have any of the following mixes or colours and your wedding has been postponed to 2021 they will keep just fine. Just store them in the back of the cupboard in the original packaging.
If you have larger petals like roses or hydrangeas in your wedding confetti, these tend to keep their best for up to 3 months when stored away from heat, moisture and light. Get in touch with us so we can advise.
Alternative ways to use your confetti
Make sure to celebrate your original wedding day, why not have a throw of confetti and capture it by photo or video and send it to your wedding guests? Open a bottle of champagne? Or have a romantic meal by candle light together. Just remember you WILL get married, it's just a question of time.
