A Day In The Life OF A Field Supervisor
Hello
everyone! My
name is Daniela, I'm from Romania and I am a field supervisor during harvest at Shropshire Petals.
Daniela - field supervisor
I supervise 3 teams of Eastern European students who work with me in the flower fields and are lovely
to work with. We have given each of our teams a name: Flower Power,
Pretty Petals and Newbies.
My lovely hard-working teams!
Each team has a landrover and a trailer full of crates; throughout the day, they will pick lots of flowers to fill the crates.

My main responsabilities are to make sure
that the trays are filled up to the right level, the stems only have flowers on (no buds or weeds) which makes the sieving process much easier and ensure the high quality of our confetti. I also have to make sure that trays contain only one colour and count the number of crates that each team has picked.
This
little cutie knew I needed help checking the tray levels and he came to give me a hand
We grow and pick 3 different varieties of
flowers which have different names depending on the colours as you can see
